Hello Everyone,

I will be hosting the show 'Biased Transmission' on KEOS 89.1FM on November 28th  6-7PM. Biased Tranmission is a talk show whose mission to start a discussions on topics that are otherwise seldom discussed in the community here in Bryan/College Station.

The discussion on November 28th will be on the Academic Tenure System. This discussion will be primarliy focussed on Tenure system as a concept, its goal, its effectiveness, its misuse, etc. But the crux of the discussion will be to explore the nature of the system and interrogate it to see if it indeed delivers what it promises, or it is simply a broken system in need of repair/replacement.

The panelists include Dr. Karan Watson (Regents Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Dean of Faculties & Associate Provost), and Dr. Michael Greenwald (Professor of English and Theater, the Director of the International Studies Degree Program, and an active member of the faculty senate). So rest assured the discussion is expected to be of high quality.

As a part of this discussion I would like to invite comments/experience/criticism on the tenure system. I plan on using the issues and concerns voiced here to ask difficult questions to Dr. Watson and Dr. Greenwald.

To facilitate your candor, you can go ahead and submit your questions/concerns/feedback on the tenure system anonymously, if you so choose. So please feel free to provide me with difficult questions to ask our panelists on Biased Transmission.
